Looking to try something new? Give Scottish country dancing a go!
Having fun, making friends and keeping fit are just some of the many benefits you can look forward to when you Dance Scottish.
You don’t have to wear tartan or a kilt (though you can if you like); you don’t need special footwear (comfortable flat shoes are fine); and you don’t have to bring a partner (Scottish country dance involves dancing with different partners). And there are no swords involved (we leave that to the highland dancers)!
Whatever your age or ability, you will be welcomed at a dance group in Queensland and will soon feel part of a worldwide dancing community.

Some of our valiant dancers ventured out to display the fun to be had in Scottish Country dancing at the Brisbane Celtic Festival in October 2024.
The 47th Australian Winter School was held in Queensland (Gatton) culminating in the Winter School Ball on 13 July 2024. Here is a picture of all the happy dancers at this event.
